A place for everything NVIDIA, come talk about news, rumours, GPUs, the industry, show-off your build and more. One side note is that when I hit the windows key to go back to the desktop from the game for a few seconds the GPU temp drops right away to 55-60 ish and then when I full screen the game again it goes right back up.Welcome to /r/NVIDIA. I just want to make sure something isn't wrong with my GPU or computer and if its safe to continue playing. I've read online of people having their GPU's around 65☌-75☌ while playing games. I also did that Heaven benchmark and it maintained the 84☌ throughout the whole thing too.ĭoes this sound normal to you guys? Or should I be worried about these readings? I'm new to the PC scene but it seems odd that it reaches that temp so fast and then stays there. (The GPU usage also hovers around 97%-99%) I tried lowering the settings from Ultra to Low and it still maintains that 84☌ at the lower setting. In both games it reaches the 84☌ within a minute and will stay at that temperature. ![]() I've tried Rise of the Tomb Raider and Doom so far. I noticed that at idle my GPU (Nvidia GTX 1080 TI) sits at around 35☌ but when I turn on a game it quickly climbs to 84☌ and stays at that temperature. I downloaded MSI afterburner and i'm measuring my CPU temp and usage,GPU temp and usage,RAM and FPS right now.Īfter downloading that software I decided to try out a couple games. I just recently got my new gaming PC and some of my friends told me its critical to monitor a couple temperatures while gaming.
